Getting Involved
The developmental and learning needs of children are of paramount importance, and the staff at LGCK is also committed to supporting parents and encouraging them to feel welcome and involved in our ‘Kindy community’. Parents are given opportunities not only to provide relevant information pertinent to the care and education of their child but also to actively participate in the life and work of the preschool at all levels.
Family members are encouraged to volunteer each term to:
Your child will love it when it is your turn to do your ‘Kindy Duty’ and it is a great way for you to see what they enjoy doing whilst there, as you donate your valuable services to the Preschool. The teachers are very grateful for the help they receive from parents.
Family members are encouraged to volunteer each term to:
- Share their skills and talents with the children
- Attend to "housekeeping" and craft preparation
- Generally assist with the children's activities
- Clean/disinfect equipment/toys
