A typical day at LGCK

Children have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of experiences, carefully planned by educators to enhance and maximise the potential and development of each child.
As the preschool operates in a large community hall and outdoor play area, the children spend considerable time interacting with all children. Whilst your child is assigned to one teacher, the programme allows for your child to have interaction with all four staff members each day. A typical day: 9.00 - 10.15 Indoor or outdoor play 10.15 - 11.00 Morning tea/ small group 11.00 - 11.15 Transition 11.15 -1.00 Indoor or outdoor play/small group 1.00 -1.15 Transition 1.15 - 1.45 Lunch 1.45 - 2.30 Free play/relaxation 2.30 - 3.00 Indoor activities Outdoor play - gross motor activities, sand and water play, woodwork, dramatic/imaginative play, arts and crafts, painting, games. Indoor play - puzzles, play dough, blocks, books, games, cooking, science and maths experiences, arts and crafts. Group time - at this time children are divided into small groups. Activities include music, movement, stories, discussion and games. |
